We approach safety through our trainings on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), child protection awareness and prevention, and human rights education. Safety programs target women in the Group Savings and Loan (GS&L) program as well as girls in both Teens’ and Empowerment Clubs, parents/guardians, teachers, and representatives of the school board of management. This program addresses issues of sexual gender-based violence and lack of positive discipline in schools and at home by creating safer lives for women and girls; because violence and threat of violence block a woman from overcoming poverty.
AVFP is reaching participants with Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Positive Discipline in Every Day’s Parenting (PDEP), and Human Rights trainings, as well as offers psychosocial counseling to victims. The GBV and Human Rights trainings are provided to girls and teens in their clubs. Human Rights and GBV awareness trainings are provided to GS&L members, parents/guardians in the community while PDEP is provided to teachers, parents/guardians, and schools board of management at identified places. AVFP partners with like-minded organizations to provide training on human rights.
We are dedicated to improving the lives of those most vulnerable in our world. Your contribution today helps us make a difference.
